I moved from the UK to Belgium in 1995. The Belgian pension authorities now need some information from the HMRC about the years I worked in the UK.

I just rang the HMRC and was told that the processing time to answer a question about my UK history is 21 weeks.
They told me that everything is in order with my 1985-1995 records.
But it's still 21 weeks to reply.

Is the lead time this bad for everyone still living in the UK?
