Hiking buddy gran canaria nov/dec 2026

Scandinavian M44 looking for a hiking buddy on Gran Canaria Nov/Dec 2026

Looking for someone open-minded who doesn't hesitate on a little more challenging hikes, male or female doesn't matter, is a big plus if you have good stamina and have strong legs

I will be on Gran Canaria 22 Nov-24 Dec 2026, the main goal of my trip is to hike in spectacular mountain environments, enjoy nature and see fantastic views of wild nature

some of the hikes that I have checked out and could consider doing are the following:

-Playa Guigui trek, starting and ending in Tasartico

-Hiking up to the top of Montana de Tauro 1225 m, starting and ending at Presa del salto del perro

-Los Azulejos de veneguera loop, clockwise, starting and ending on the GC200 road

-Tamadaba to Faneque rock 1027 m (which is considered one of the world's highest coastal cliffs)

-Crossing Inagua and hiking up one of the peaks there would be a dream come true. I've looked at Montaña de Sandara 1575 m and Montaña de Inagua (montaña del Horno) 1425 m

If there's any adventurous soul who thinks this sounds interesting and fun, just send me a message, I'm up for anything

I'll be staying on the south side of the island somewhere between Arguineguin-Playa de Cura/Mogán village and I'll have access to a rental car so I can easily get around and get to the starting point for the hikes

Hiking buddy Gran canaria 2026

Scandinavian M44 looking for a hiking buddy on Gran Canaria Nov/Dec 2026

Looking for someone like-minded who doesn't hesitate on a little more challenging hikes, male or female doesn't matter, a big plus if you have good stamina, strong legs and if you are okay with starting the hike quite early in the morning

-Hiking up to the top of Montana de Tauro 1225 m, starting and ending at Mirador el mulato or Presa del salto del perro

-Los Azulejos de veneguera loop (Charco de las Aneas - Ruta 2 Mogan), clockwise, starting and ending on the GC200 road

-Tamadaba to Faneque rock 1027 m (which is considered one of the world's highest coastal cliffs)

-Hike up to the top of Montaña de Inagua (montaña del Horno) 1425 m, starting from cruce de tasartico along GC200 road (i can only imagine how awesome it would be to be on top of the Ojeda/Inagua/Pajonales mountain range)

-Hike near Montaña de Sandára and maybe spot the Canarian ravens that live among the high mountain cliffs there, starting from somewhere near GC605 road/presa de las ninas

When I hike, I usually start quite early, preferring to be at the start of the trail around sunrise or shortly after

How much does calima affect Madeira?

In the Canary Islands, calima occurs quite often and the air quality can be really bad, but how much does calima affect the island of Madeira?

I assume that the impact is less as Madeira is further north, but how big is the difference really?

Does anyone have experience with the effect of calima on Madeira?
