For a while I've wanted to make tailored looking pants that have adjustable waistband. My absolute favorite color combo is dark blueish Green and pink, so that's what I used for this project. The inspiration on how adjustable pants could be made from this video regarding split-side pants. Instead of the drafting method used in the video, I just used my own pants block as a base and added some extra width to get the fit I wanted.
My pants are held together and adjusted with two D-rings on both sides. The pink side panels have a fold, that acts as a pocket. Big enough to fit a 1.5 litre/50 Oz bottle!
The fabrics are European deadstock jacquard (76% cotton 22% polyester, 240 gsm from Wasted Fabrics).
Overall I am super happy with the project and just wanted to share my exitement with someone 😄
