Sons of Gudermes vs Apotheo dynasty Necron Destroyers by Ilya Belyakov
On the world of Omicron-Nine, or Khu’the in the Necron tongue, metal legions march from dolmen gates. The dead tomb was being picked clean by mechanicus scavengers when the Apotheo dynasty slaughtered them and claimed the complex for their own. To rescue the cult leadership and destroy the portal, the Sons of Gudermes 2nd company dropped to the planet’s surface.
As his operatives recovered the remaining magi, Captain Hazus led the ambush against the central gateway of the alien. It had to be destroyed, or the entire sector risked invasion. The most fearsome among their foes were Destroyer Lord Gultak and the followers of the Nightbringer. The astartes weathered the tide of abominations, fighting and dying until melta charges crippled the xeno machine.
With the tomb once again cut off from outside reinforcement, the Sons of Gudermes withdrew. It was no longer a threat to Imperial worlds in its periphery; if the Adeptus Mechanicus wanted the treasure of the tomb, they could pry it from the Necrons themselves. Battles for survival, not scientific interest, begged for the assistance of the 2nd company elsewhere.
