Tire flat (off rim) - service dept wants to patch/plug

My 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 is only a few months old and has ~1000 miles. I was pulling out for work and realized immediately there was a flat. I called the service dept who sent a complimentary tow (I live a few miles away) and they mentioned they'll inspect the tire and most likely patch or plug rather than replace. The tow truck driver said its more likely significant damage since the tires are brand new and the flat one is hanging off the rim. I have the tire and rim protection bundle so just want to make sure they are not taking half measures, I also have a newborn so can't risk the tire blowing out on the road. I know it will be tough to judge from the photos, but what is your thoughts on it? Also seems to have slightly damaged the paint on the rim getting it up on the truck. What should I make sure to communicate with the service dept? Thanks in advance.

Updating to add- service tech called said they tire is trashed, pulling new one now from warehouse

Rural Areas Near Midlo?

May be getting transferred for work to our Midlothian office. Was hoping to look for housing in an area with some space (1 acre +) to own chickens and grow food. Is there nice rural areas 20-30 minutes outside Midlo? Thanks!

Building Throws out Recyclables in General Refuse Dumpsters

I have been living in a large apartment building for a few years now in NJ. Trash is picked up nightly by "Valet Living" services contracted by the building management. We received a blue bin for recyclables and black bin for trash on move in. I noticed that bags from both bins end up going into general refuse dumpsters and picked up by the same truck, despite the mixed recyclables being separated by residents.

I asked the management office about this practice, and they differed to the Valet Living service for questions- I am assuming to pass any liability. Are they allowed to be doing this? Seems like a major DEP violation.

Blaney Auto from Penske Shop - Any Successes?

From their website:

I have sent something to the Petty Museum to be signed successfully before, but the thing I want Blaney to sign is a little high $ to be trusted in the mail if it wont be fruitful.. Have a newborn so getting to the track isnt as easy these days. Anyone have success sending it in to Penske?

Looking for Permanent Residence in Lake Community, No Short Term Rentals

My company is opening a new office in Bethlehem and I am looking to move permanently to within an hour commute of that location (may not be Pocono region proper so I apologize in advance if that's the case). My wife and I have vacationed in lake community's such as Lake Harmony and Albrightsville and loved the areas, however the frequent carousel of renters rotating in the STRs was obvious and detracting even over the course of a weekend. Are there any lake communities that do not offer STRs that offer similar amenities without constant turnover? Would my best bet be to reach out to a realtor? Thanks in advance.
