To clarify I mean what is the emotionally charged moment of the show, the one that gets you mad.

For me it's how Richard treats Lorelai after kicking Straub out. I don't necessarily think that his reaction is necessarily totally wrong because I think he does have a right to be mad his life got turned topsy-turvy because of his daughter's actions. It's the context in which he tells her that after defending her from a man chastising her unfairly that makes that emotionally devastating. I never liked Richard as a character after that moment I thought this was by far the worst moment on the show for him. And it's the one that still makes me the most mad. Only thing that comes remotely close was Jackson lying about the vasectomy.
