I (29F) just broke up a cat fight with my baby boy (about 3yo) and a gingey about 10 mins ago. In the last 5 mins my cat has started huffing/coughing. It's on and off but seems to have calmed after a few minutes. Should I be booking a vet appointment ASAP or is he just in a bit of shock? I've given him a good check over and he seems to be wound free. I'm a first time cat owner so I have never seen anything like this before...

Edit: it's stopped now and he's calmed and going to sleep, no breathing issues that I can see or hear. I'll book a vet appointment tomorrow.

Over the past day or two I've been a bit muffled in one ear almost like swimmers ear but I haven't been swimming recently. I have an ear cleaning camera and used it to have a look and this ear has some dark pink blood vessels(?) while the other one doesn't. Could it be an infection or is it something else?

Thanks in advance x

This is Jet. He belonged to my Nan since she found him hiding under her car during a storm. She tried to find his owner but didn't have much luck... So she took him in and looked after him for nearly 10 years! After my Nan passed, my parents brought Jet home with them. The vet thinks he's roughly about 20 years old! But he still acts like our little baby. Here he is taking a nap under his blankie.
