Hello I had a game the other day i always play japanese. I had knights and pikes to fight the step lancers with and i got rolled pretty hard. How should i be fighting against them? and with what? I didn’t get to test samurai because i lost before that but i feel they would run around them and destroy my base.
What should my strategy be against step lancers?
There are thousands of survival games they are happy go lucky building, crafting, etc. Challenges are ether way too easy or to tedious. I'm sick of exploring and building with no purpose then more gear which is just so overpowered that I could have beat the game with my flint hatchet or something.
I'm hoping LnF makes the world not just explorable but dangerous. not happy but deadly. I want to need to build a defensive base because goblins are sieging it. When i leave the safety of my base to explore around the corner i want giant spiders, orcs, timber wolves to be completely destroying me. When i get enough gear to beat them and move on to go tame a dragon or find a egg i want the dragon so unbelievably powerful that its so end game ill give up on the thought of having a dragon immediately. Once you can fly around the world safe the game is literally over for me just so you know.
Im just tired of easy survival games what can i say. The goal of a survival rpg should be building up to be able to defeat certain bosses and have that journey hindered by lesser foes that are unavoidable except by fighting. they should be attacking your base. finding you on your exploration. when you run catch up to you.
Its just annoying i can already see it i spawn in craft a axe then a bow shoot some animals build my base. maybe find metal. get set up explore find a boss dungeon it doesn't matter how difficult that dungeon is. the game already went wrong. When i craft my axe there should already be a wolf killing me, when i make my bow a goblin scouting party should be attacking me. when my base is up a giant spider destroys it. Once ive struggled through the first 20 hours of the game and i have a fortress set up then i want to go to the difficult dungeon. And when i return i want a dragon completely obliterating my base. With no hope of defeating it and im forced to hide in some cave or something. don't worry the cave isn't safe ether.
That said tedious resource gathering is not difficult it just takes forever. crafting a axe and then dying is not the same thing as taking 20 minutes to craft the axe. if i was good i wouldn't have died.
If your game is going to be easy why wouldn't i play minecraft? the game has the best building elements. If i want to explore that or no mans sky. If i want a cool feel and great dungeons Conan exiles. A game that feels like your getting attacked but the mobs all suck valheim.
I can already see the responses to this "some people just want to build, explore, and enjoy the game." literally go play every other survival game ever. Can i have just one that's tough please.
Sorry more of a survival game rant but please make the game difficult. That said i love the concept of Light no Fire and will be buying it with high hopes of some challenges and difficulties.

Idk just trying to improve not sure where i went wrong i was in one guys base but the other guy showed up with cav archers later. Was i supposed to predict the cav archer and skirm? Should i have not gone knights in castle to save food for eco and vills?
Hey so I solo Japanese no matter what. Its Japaor i font play. I am also bad at the game and awful at micro. I ran into a kid with organ guns and i completely folded. I tryed siege towers they died before i got close. I then switched to onagers but he would shoot the organ guns kill my onagers they back up and id only trade which isnt really what i want i want to kill like 5 per onager or something maybe i need more? But what should i do in this MU as japanese?
