I'm hopping back into my copy of Omega Ruby after 10 years of silence and I'm trying to figure out the damage that has been done. I don't want to delete my save file and start over but I don't know what else to do at this point. I'm trying to find a reliable way to check if I've already caught a legendary in the post game. So far I've only been able to confirm this by checking if the portals don't work and if my pokedex has more than 1 encounter. The part that's confusing me is what counts as an encounter in the game's data.
Ex I'm on cresselia Island rn (the real ones know how rare this is post server shutdown) and the portal is acting like I've already claimed it, but I've only got 1 encounter logged in the pokedex and a cresselia from JPN in my box, ergo I am not the father.
Any info and discussion would be appreciated as I cannot find this topic anywhere
