(Marble Hornets) Here’s a replica of Masky’s mask I made.

This was made using a blank plastic mask I found on Amazon, which I believe is the same one that they actually used to make the ones seen in the series.

It’s probably the simplest thing I’ve worked on in a long time, taking just a few hours to paint.

Here’s my Jason X mask I just finished.

This was my first attempt at making a screen-accurate replica of a mask, unlike my previous two which were more of my own interpretations of the mask.

Just like my Jason Universe mask, this was made using Fear City Creations’ mask blank, with a chevron from Big Hush that I cut down to size.

I also got the straps from Fear City Creations, making this my first mask to use leather instead of the elastic I’ve been using previously. Overall, I’m really pleased by how this project turned out.

I recently painted this Hatbox Ghost replica head.

I bought this head from a group selling 3D printed Halloween props, and now I finally got around to painting him.

I’m quite satisfied with the result, but would eventually like to add hair and a top hat when I’m able to.

Here’s a Jason Universe mask I just finished.

Honestly, I don’t mind this mask design as much as most fans. I view it as more of a side-grade instead of it being significantly worse than what came before.

In any case, I still knew I’d want to make my own version, and this is what I ended up with. This was made using Fear City Creations’ mask blank, with chevrons purchased from Big Hush.

I figured I’d finally show off my masks.

The first one is a Trick or Treat Studios Killer Goalie that I repainted back in October. I wanted it to be a mix of all the classic designs, with Part 6 as the primary basis. I just recently redid the finish on it, and overall I’m pretty satisfied by how it turned out.

The second one is a Hockey Punisher mask by Fun World that I very recently worked on. I tried following Big Hush’s videos on how to repaint masks, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I left the chevron off so that it could work as a generic hockey mask.

I still have a few more that I currently plan on customizing, so be on the lookout for when those are finished!

Should I be worried about this?

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I wanted to know if these brown spots on my TOTS mask are something I should worry about.

I noticed them today, and was able to scrape some of it off with my fingernail. I was able to clean off most of it, but there’s still some yellowing in that area.

I turned the mask inside out so I could take better photos, and to make it easier to clean.

I’ve only had this mask for around nine months now, and none of my other masks seem to have this. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Here’s three more TOTS rehauls I did.

For the sake of brevity, I decided to share all three of these at once.

The first one I finished out of the three was a 1978 mask. I wasn’t a fan of the paint it had, so I just redid it all in white. I also rehaired it using Camel hair, since I got some before it became hard to find.

The second one was a Halloween 2 Economy mask that I initially used to practice hairing. Because I figured the mask’s sculpted hair would make it impossible for me to style it properly, I decided to just do my own thing when it came to painting it. I initially wanted to base it off Don Post’s “The Mask,” although I eventually ended up with something between that and the regular Halloween 2 look.

The last one was a re-rehaul of my Boogeyman mask, which I initially did last October as my first ever attempt at painting a mask. It took me multiple attempts to get it to where it is, because I kept getting frustrated with the neck and wound up peeling the paint off over and over again.

Overall, I think these weren’t too bad for my first three masks, although I still think the 2018 one I did is still the best of the bunch.

Here’s a TOTS 2018 rehaul I did.

I’ve been meaning to show off my rehauls for a while now, and so I figured I’d start off with the one that I’m probably the most proud of.

This was the last of the four that I did, and I initially didn’t intend on doing a rehaul for it after finishing the previous three. I’m super glad that I did, because I think it’s easily the best of the set.
