Will an Amazon Store Card help my credit score in the long run if I already have an Amazon Prime Visa (Chase)?
I have an offer to get $40 Amazon GC when applying for an Amazon Store Card (not nearly as good as the $200 I got when I signed up for my Amazon Prime Visa a couple years ago). But wondering if it will be worth it in the long run. Credit Score is currently 764. Applying will trigger hard inquiry which will probably ding my credit core 5-10 points? Also my 'Credit Age' average will go down if I activate a new card. Since my only credit card is my Prime Visa, my Credit Account Mix rating is not great, but if I get an Amazon Store Card, that would be with the same vendor, so I'm not sure if it would even count as being another account, although technically the Prime Store Card is from Synchrony Bank and the Prime Visa is Chase, so I think that'll work fine.
Also 100% on time payments throughout my credit history. Just not sure if the Store Card would be all that helpful, other than the $40 GC and some occasional targeted 10% cash back deals.
