Ticket Counter Fail (on Allegiant’s End)

So I went to my airport to book tickets in person to avoid the carrier usage charge ($179) and after I left I saw on my confirmation email breakdown that they STILL charged it. And come to find out the agents helping me booked it through the website instead of their own internal system or however they’re supposed to do it and when I called customer service to refund the charge, they basically think I could be lying like I booked it on my own and they said it’s booked through the website and no agent’s name is attached. I’m so upset. I don’t know why they would book it through the website??

First off the whole process was not great, I got there right when the website said the Allegiant counter is open and no one was there. I had to ask another airline agent and he said Allegiant sometimes shares counters with other airlines and to basically go check the other airlines. Then I find them at the Frontier counter. After telling them I was there to book tickets they walked me back to the Allegiant counter to book. I should have known something was off whenever I asked if they could bring up my account to make it easier since I had all my traveler info on there and they couldn’t figure it out.

The customer service agent on the phone said to either fill out a complaint to start an investigation and I guess I have to prove I was there? I’m definitely on the cameras and I paid for parking too. Or she said to go back to the airport to have the agents call them to confirm I was there. I have little faith in that since these agents did it wrong in the first place and what if I go and it’s different agents? What do I do??
