Hello! I wanted to reprofile and thin the heel of this knife because the heel isn't beveled at all. However, the handle gets in the way, so I end up grinding only on the very edge of the stone, which dishes that spot a lot and I dont want to ruin the stone for one project.

Because of that, I wanted to ask: would I be able to take off the handle (at least the white part, it's separate from the black part) and then put it back on? I don't have tools to completely drill out the pins and make new ones. My idea was to just leave the pins in, pry off the handle parts, and after I'm done grinding, put them back on the pins with some super glue.

Would that work, or is there something I'm missing?
