It could be a nightmare or not, but what’s your weirdest table you had?
a very polite and bubbly lady mid 40s came in with her kid and sat in my booth, ordered frozen margs for herself and her husband that hadn’t arrived yet, and nacho appetizer. She and kid ate the appetizer and leave 1/2 the nachos for the husband
20 mins later husband arrives and is very grouchy, I assume he’s just got off work or something. I greet him and ask if they’re ready to order or need a couple minutes, and bro hits me with “could I get a new drink? Mine is all melted”
I tell him I’ll ask my manager but most likely not since nothing is wrong with the drink itself and we would just throw the drink away. He says “ok don’t worry about it, but could you get these nachos remade? They’re cold and I HATE jalapeños” and then glares at his wife. Super uncomfortable tension
I told him I’ll see what I can do and grabbed the plate, got the kitchen to heat up the nachos and pick off the jalapeños and he seemed satisfied (lol)
When I came back with the nachos the wife told me everyone was ready to order, so I get the orders and put them in the system
I come back a couple minutes later to refill waters and the husband has taken his Jordans off and is now laying down sound asleep on his side of the booth
Food comes and the lady asks for a Togo box for the husbands food, they eat in silence and then wake him up and leave. She left me a 50% tip. Such a rollercoaster
