Another weekend of football/soccer will soon be upon us. The next Whitecaps game is not until August 1 - and so we continue to ask that you use your voices to keep our shared cause in the spotlight.

Thank you to the Nordecke and all of Columbus for your vociferous support last weekend. It brought many a tear to this middle-aged dude’s eye.

For those of you from Seattle – the term vociferous is used to describe people, groups, or demands that are noisy and vehemently insistent in expressing feelings or opinions. For those of you from Portland, it means LOUD NOISES.

The Crew are taking a sabbatical from their on-field misadventures this week, but there is no shortage of opportunities for other supporters to step up. 

In Toronto, you will be hosting the angry gnome and his pink phony club which means APPARENTLY people have actually bought tickets to one of your games! What better opportunity to send a message and show the rest of the country that you’re capable of thinking of anyone other than yourselves! 

Montreal, let's be honest – Toronto's gonna fuck this up. Saisir l’opportunité de ne pas seulement être la prochaine ville à perdre son club! 

Chicago... Boston... I mean it’d be great if you did something. But I’m not gonna hold out much hope. You guys are like bigger, worser, Americaner versions of Toronto...  

Charlotte... Atlanta... Nashville... I’ll skip you guys because I’m pretty sure that most of your supporters can’t read. 

Dallas, I was gonna group you above but then I would have missed the opportunity to ask you to swap out the giant red tarp that is your stadium with a blue tarp that says SaveTheCaps. 

Colorado, it’s okay. We saw your sign. And your stadium. You guys clearly need to focus your energies on a GoFundMe or OnlyFans or something. 

Now onto the big ones... 

San Jose! Congratulations on having a good team finally! Listen, I’ve been talking with Portland and Seattle, and I think there’s a chance I can convince them to let you guys into Cascadia. Don’t get too excited or get weird about it. It’d be a junior internship position, of course. But better than hanging out with LA right? But you gotta do your part, okay? Show them what you got. We’re talking tifo, signs, chants... oh and you have to play like you did against Toronto again. We’ll talk after this weekend. 

Seattelites and Portlandians – I bring the warmest middle finger salutations to you and your inbred families. If anyone is gonna back us up, it’s gotta be you guys. Cuz if you don’t - I’ve already told those lamoids in San Jose that they’re our replacement. Seattle, how’s it gonna feel to not be the dudest techbros in the group? Portland, you’re DEFINITELY gonna be the least important city if San Jose gets in AND your team is still gonna suck. You guys want that to happen? No? Then fucking tifo and fucking chant your stupid fucking faces off. With love, Vancouver.

I, like many of you, am struggling to keep up with and psychologically cope with the current situation. I will be devastated if the Caps are taken - and I am already filled with anger at those positioning to take them away. As supporters, there is not a lot we can do... but we must do what we can. And if that means soliciting the help of those assholes in Seattle and Portland... well so be it. #SaveTheCaps
