Help me find this book where FMC comes from wealthy/elite family. MMC is outsider that is looking to gain power in town. They are enemies to lovers.
Here’s what I remember from Book 1 (possibly part of a series):
- FMC comes from a very wealthy, controlling family
- Her family has strict expectations for women, including being virgins until marriage
- She is expected to enter an arranged marriage with another wealthy family, has a forced fiancé that is also wealthy but she doesn’t love/like him
- She rebels during spring break and has an anonymous hookup with a man she doesn’t know (they don’t exchange names)
- When she returns to her elite high school, she’s back in her controlled life
- The MMC from the hookup unexpectedly shows up at her school
- He is part of a group of powerful guys (kind of a “king/brotherhood” vibe, not solo)
- He initially has a plan involving her—something like using her to get revenge / take down elite families
- He blackmails her, threatening to expose she is not a virgin / ruin her reputation if she doesn’t cooperate
- She also has a brother who is sent away to some kind of elite camp/school, removing her only ally
Tone is very dark bully romance / elite prep school / toxic wealthy families / enemies-to-lovers-ish, Kindle Unlimited style.
I read it around 2020 (pre-TikTok book era), same time I was reading Amo Jones, so it’s that kind of vibe.
I feel like it may be part of a series involving elite “kings/brothers/order” type group, but I’m not sure.
There is a scene where her father doubts if virginity, and has her forced boyfriend “test” if virgin in front of father.
Any ideas? Even similar books help.
