Will a 9pm reservation Chez Panisse cafe be a good experience?
I’m no major foodie, but I like splurging on interesting restaurants at times. I visit the Bay Area once a year or two and have always wanted to go to Chez Panisse. But due to not knowing my travel plans too long ahead of time, I’ve never been able to get a reservation.
For my upcoming trip I was able to make a reservation, but only at the cafe and only at 9pm. I have a concern that a restaurant so focused on fresh ingredients might be running out at 9pm, and I’d be disappointed if my one time at the restaurant misses the best things on offer. I’m also slightly disappointed that this is the cafe not the restaurant, but I’m seeing reviews saying the cafe is still wonderful and a better value than the restaurant, so all good.
Should I keep the 9pm reservation? Or plan with longer lead time for my next trip and try to get a reservation for a normal time?
