Cat meowing whole night
I adopted a kitten around 2 months ago, and she’s now about 5–6 months old, a mixed tabby Bengal. She’s usually very playful, eats well, and everything else seems completely normal. However, the past 2 days have been a nightmare as she keeps meowing very loudly and growling from the moment I go to bed until the morning.
She normally sleeps with me, and I always leave the bedroom door open so she can come and go freely, but now she constantly meows during the day as well unless I’m actively playing with her.
There’s also a male cat next door that meows a lot too, so I’m wondering if that could be the reason she suddenly started crying like this. But he’s been there since the day I brought her home, so I don’t understand why this behavior only started in the last 2 days.
I booked a vet appointment today to have her spayed, as I’m thinking it might be hormonal. Have you ever experienced something similar?
