So I know a lot about the charts and streaming data. Its tangent to my full time job. So we use data like streaming data for projection interferences. I wish my job was cool that it involved music, but its not, lol, it's just these numbers got analyzed last year as a comparable and I learned a lot.

I was the one that posted that Make Them Cry was 100% not going #1 even though accounts posted it would based on my analysis.

So for singles like Janice STFU a drop from Saturday to Sunday is normal and an increase Sunday to Monday is normal. But NOT for albums.

But anyway, here are the Sunday to Monday increases globally for iceman on Spotify.

Iceman- 50m to 53.5m +7%

That doesnt seem that impressive. But here are the numbers for other notable rap albums:

CLB -10%

Music -22%

Yes DECREASE.

US Spotify

This for US spotify only:

Iceman - 21m to 23.3m +11%

Life of a Showgirl +8% (!) - edited from 7%

$$$ -7%

CLB -8%

Music -19%

Now through in a lawsuit, THREE albums so competing with himself, etc - this is insane.

Edit: Removed GNX as it was causing confusion as I was looking at 24 hour periods rather than 12am to 12am as it didnt drop at 12am.

Since Drake is likely going to beat the solo male artist Billboard #1 record at some point this year, someone said "he already should have it due to Sicko Mode".

Then I went into that rabbithole of wtf they were talking about and found that Astroworld doesnt credit other artists. But I see Utopia does, so it cant be a general thing he does.

Was there some reason? Do the other artists get paid less or have less royalties if they arnt credited? If so, why would any of those artists agree to that. Anyway, hoping a Travis Scott super fan knows the history and context.
