I was listening to a Jersey Club remix of Rihanna’s ‘Sex with Me’. The song is on Anti. As I was listening, it clicked that he was dissing Rihanna in a layered way.

‘And the sex was average with ya’ is a line on Drake’s ‘Fear of Heights’. This line always stuck out to me because it seems extremely petty, and I thought it was just a petty bar.

After listening to the Jersey Club remix of ‘Sex with Me’, I realized Drake was using that lyric as a reference to that particular song. In the song ‘Sex with Me’, the lyrics are ‘sex with me is amazing’. And then I obviously started laughing 😂. But just to be sure, I went to look up who wrote and produced the song ‘Sex with Me’. It was cowritten by PND and co-produced by Bo1da.

So my theory was pretty much confirmed. Then I went on Genius to see if that connection is mentioned, and it’s not.

This is definitely not a reach as in the whole verse in ‘Fear of Heights’, he mentions several times the word ‘Anti’ and makes puns off of it. You can see in the photos of the lyrics what I’m talking about.

Drake Reportedly Declined to Submit ‘Iceman,’ ‘Maid of Honour’ and ‘Habibti’ for 2027 Grammys

On ICEMAN closer “Make Them Know,” Drakemakes his sustaining disinterest in chasing Grammys recognition as clear as ever by vowing to not submit the album for consideration. Now, per a new report, it’s all but guaranteed that he made good on that promise.
To be eligible for the 2027 Grammys, a work must have been released between Aug. 31, 2025 and Aug. 28, 2026. The submission deadline was Aug. 21. All three of Drake’s 2026 full-lengths would have been eligible for consideration, including ICEMAN.
According to a recent Billboard report, however, he declined to submit that album, as well as Habibti and Maid of Honour. The report also cites sources as saying that the OVO Sound co-founder opted against submitting specific songs for consideration, as well.
Complex has reached out to a rep for the Recording Academy for comment. This story may be updated.
As it stands now, Drake has five Grammy wins to his name, and numerous nominations. Most recently, “Somebody Loves Me,” a song off his and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s $ome $exy $ongs 4 U project, was a contender in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category at this year’s ceremony. It lost to Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther.”

Drakes OVO logo on the official Toronto Raptors practice jersey

In what may be a first for the NBA and hip-hop, a hip-hop artist has their logo officially on a current NBA jersey.

Edit: I wanna piggyback off of this post to first make a correction, in that this has been a thing for the Raptors, according to other users. And second to link to a sub, I started specifically because of the mods over in hiphopheads responding to a message I sent them about why they were taking down post about Drake’s accolades to which they responded “fuck Drake”. So I started blkhiphopheads and despite what the title may insinuate, anybody that has any relationship or genuine connection to hip-hop culture is welcome 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾
