Picky Leachie won't eat bugs, but eats CGD out of my hand? Also, tank upgrade timing?
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some advice on my Leachie’s diet and housing. He’s currently around 35 grams.
The Diet Issue:
He is a very picky eater when it comes to insects. I’ve tried crickets and superworms, splitting them open for the scent, and even dipping them in CGD. When I touch the insect to his mouth, he just licks his lips and refuses to bite.
However, he is incredibly chill with me—I can actually hold him and he will eat an entire bowl of Pangea right out of my hands. Since he loves the Pangea, I’m looking into using the Growth & Breeding formula to make sure he gets big and healthy.
• Is it okay to just rely on Growth & Breeding formula if he won't take insects?
The Housing Question:
He is 35g right now. When would be the best time to move him into his "big kid" tank (18x18x24)? I don't want to move him too early and have him get stressed or "lost" and stop eating, especially since we have such a good feeding routine right now.
