Lymphoma

Lymphoma

Our oldest, Schnauzer Shitz mix almost 10 years old was diagnosed with Lymphoma. She was completely fine on last check up in March. After that, we noticed she leaves some food in the bowl. Since she is a timid dog, we thought our puppy was bossing her around and she is not finishing her food.
I had a surgery on 4/17. For 3 weeks, I slept on the recliners. She looked sad, but I thought its because she can’t sleep with me. During this time, sometimes, she will not eat at all.
Then, she vomited three times when we are in May, and started to have soft poop.
We just took her in yesterday and did blood work and ultrasound. Very high liver count, and the ultrasound found lots of enlarged lymph nodes.

With rimadyl, 1 to 6 months.
With chemo, 6 months to a year.

She started to breathe hard from last night. It seems like she is going down hill really quick.

We never had a dog that we were given such a short life sentence. She and I were so close. Its devastating…
