I’ve been working in hospitality since I was 18. Ive been working as an assistant manager in the same restaurant for over 9 years. I’m desperately trying to get out of hospitality due to the hours and stress but I’m keep getting rejected from all the jobs I‘m applying to, despite my transferrable skills. I’m even considering switching to retail, like Aldi or Lidl but I’m afraid that would be pointless. Is anyone managed to get out of hospitality , if you did, how?
