i have two different things that caused damage to my brain the first was a significant chiari malformation with brainstem involvement normally this doesn’t cause much long term problems when treated but mine is a severe outlier there is 18 years of compression to my brainstem, cerebellum and medulla, i got surgery for it on April 6th natural recovery for this takes around a year but my brain will never return to baseline. the second thing which shocked every surgeon i have spoke to was a fourth ventricular hemorrhage exactly two weeks after. i had emergency surgery performed on the same spot. i am still in the hospital i am unsure what parts of my brain this damaged but my lower extremities have about 25 percent sensation which hasn’t improved at all yet over 13 days and they don’t know when or if i will be able to walk unassisted again. i have done lots of research on how i can help rehabilitate my brain. the goal is to recover it as close to my baseline as physically possible im willing to try pretty much anything that could theoretically help. i have a lot of ideas and things planned but i would like to hear from smarter and more educated individuals then my self.
