So we have a 16 year old cat who was diagnosed with kidney disease this past March. He's on renal diet and I'm trying porus one. That being said, I'm just looking for support on what others have experienced. Since March he's been eating and doing his normal routines. Within the past week, he has slowed down quite a bit but is still interested in food. Yesterday, as he ate breakfast he suddenly stopped with about 1/4 left and walked away. I waited and offered him the plate again and he did eat. Since then, he's done the same. Eats most, stops, walks away and will sometimes finish it when offered once more. I'm assuming this is all a normal progression of the disease? I was really hoping the porus one would help but I don't think it's really doing a lot. I plan on calling the vet this week to discuss the behavior changes. Any information or support you can offer would be great! Thanks for friends!
