Parathyroid adenoma connection to midgut nodule?
Curious if anyone has had similar experience.
When I was 23 I was diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism with hypercalcemia. CT imaging revealed parathyroid adenoma and an incidental thyroid nodule. After ultrasound the nodule was given a TI RAD 4 classification. As a result I had a hemi thyroidectomy and had been symptom free.
About two years ago I started struggling with significant bone pain, fatigue and digestive issues with episodes of diarrhea, sweating, nausea, blood in stood. Labs shows normal thyroid hormones and calcium but deficient in b-12 and ferritin, high RDW. My GP decided to ultrasound my thyroid (new TI RAD 2 nodule present) and referred me to gastrointestinal specialist who performed an endoscopy and colonoscopy. The colonoscopy found a firm mass pressing into my colon appearing to be located between the colon and small intestine. He has flagged this as suspicious bc of my history with parathyroid adenoma.
I’m currently scheduled for a CT and have a consult with internal medicine. Would love to hear if you have a similar history and what next steps were taken and what questions you asked your doctors.
