After about 3 months of searching, I finally bought a 2012 Toyota Venza XLE V6 FWD with no panoramic roof and about 180k miles.
I was originally looking for a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V, but the prices were terrible, or the cars were in rough condition.
The seller was asking $7,000, but I was able to negotiate it down to $5,500.
So far, it seems like a solid deal for the current market. The 3.5L V6 feels smooth, the transmission shifts well, the A/C works, and the car fits my needs really well. I needed something practical with more space for tools and work stuff, and the Venza seems perfect for that.
It does have some normal high-mileage things I’ll need to address, but nothing hidden or major from what I can tell so far.
Curious what you guys think — good buy at $5,500?
