FTM with new born need breast pump hacks and suggestions

Hello ! Sorry i would be asking a lot of questions here. My LO is a week old and has jaundice, so i have been breastfeeding as well pumping and giving top feeds as frequent as 1.5 -2 hours during the day and one 3 hours stretch at night (so that we can sleep little bit). Now, i am tired of pumping. I have a phillips avent electric single breast pump as we had to buy whatever was available at the hospital pharmacy ( my baby was in the nicu for phototherapy and i had to give top up). The pump is good and i am getting good output. But holding and pumping 15 mins each side is a pain. I feel like my tasks have become never ending. Need help or suggestions should i invest in a double breast pump? Which one should i go for ? I have heard great reviews about spectra, any idea if there are any authorised dealers in bangalore ? Tia

FTM ; baby is 5 days old

Finally my little baby has arrived. Delivered her on 7th May. What i understood from the doctors and nurses is that new borns sleep a lot. A lottt. Now the issue is need to feed her every 2-3 hours, and i do not know how to wake her up. In the hospital she would wake up because the nurses helped, but now that she is home with us, those techniques are not working. Around 45 mins during the feeding window, i spend waking her up only. Also once she latches, she falls asleep. Another 10-12 mins mid session goes on waking her up- tickling, sanitiser touch on the feet.. but takes up lot of time. Though i supplement her feeds through palada feeding (which i find easier- pumping and palada). Really need help on how to make the feeding window more efficient

My brother is studying in Germany, and on 30April he was picked up from his rented apartment and admitted to a psychiatric facility. Some context: out of frustration he had made some threatening remarks about 2 of his professors to his mental health coach. And his coach, out of safety and concern complained to the police. Initially the police had given him a warning and asked him to stay at this facility for one night and the next day a judge would decide if he can be released. The judge visited the facility on 1- May and spoke to my father too, and told us to bring him back to india immediately. Accordingly we got the tickets done for him for 2- may, but now the hospital admin is saying that they would not release him before 6 weeks. I am really at a loss and do not know what to do. Is there anyone who can help/guide me genuinely. I will be really grateful. I have written to the indian consulate in Frankfurt, and also spoke to the helpline number. They have asked me to write them a mail. Which i have. But beyond that what should i do. I cant travel to germany as i am 9 months pregnant right now

Hello! I am due next month and i plan to pump and feed too, as i want to prioritise my flexibility and space little bit, once the little one is here. Also, i would join back work post 6 months mat leave Needed help and advice on pumps:

  1. Should i invest in a breast pump now, or wait after the baby arrives and see how it goes. I would be getting a phillips avent electric pump as a hands me down
  2. How good and effective are handsfree pumps? Should i invest in one? I was planning on buying only one piece and not a pair for the time being. But should i buy it now or wait it out ? Any good recco would be very helpful I have been researching on promom, roboso and momcozy. But would love to hear some genuine reviews Thanks a lot in advance
