AIO for wanting to end a 10 yr friendship?
Helllerrr my good people of Reddit, okay so I’ll try to make this quick. I am 26F my friend whom this is about is 27F, let’s call her “Jenn”. Also let me add that this all happened last month but I just got reminded of the shit show that went down and I don’t handle drama well as you’ll read.
So last month she calls me and she’s yelling about being cheated on and she sends me a shit ton of screenshots of her boyfriend 28M who I’ll call Carlos basically telling a 19 year old how much he loves her, and also offering to collab with a different girl from insta that’s poly WHICH JENN SAID SHE DID NOT WANT TO DO!!!!
i digress -.- He also slowly started to treat Jenn like crap and she would call him out and he’d just always give a bullshit excuse. Can you imagine my surprise when I VERY politely offered her my spare room, y’all, she.had.a.fit she started yelling at me telling me that I was just like those other women also trying to look cute for him.
I want to preface that he and I don’t ever speak if she isn’t present and I make sure of it. I already didn’t like him but haven’t voiced my concerns because she tends to be explosive like this over him and I just don’t have the bandwidth to deal with that, so while she was yelling I told her that she could stop wasting the oxygen the universe apparently thought she needed and to never call me again. I also told her that I understood that she was upset but that came out of left field and it felt like she had secret animosity directed at me I didn’t know about. Like I said before my tolerance for drama is like non existent and I think it’s probably because I’ve subjected myself to someone like her all this time.
Anywho I rambled lots, AIO for feeling justified in ending the friendship over this?
