I am a 5'9 man and 241 pounds. I get a minimum of 20k steps per day 4-5 days a week at my job and I have been trying to lose weight for over a year now and lost about 10 pounds to begin with but haven't lost any weight that stayed off since and have been hovering between 240-245 for so long. I don't know what I could be doing wrong, I started at eating 1800 calories a day, then dropped to 1600 when I wasnt losing and still wasn't losing any, then was told by a dietitian I was likely in metabolic adaptation and to bring my calories per day up to 2,000-2,200 a day, and I'm tracking everything I eat as accurately as I can and I did that and I'm still not losing weight.
