[Selling] [EU] Konosuke Madei Sumiiro Gyuto 240 Shirogami #2 Nihei

Hi all, I decided to start selling some knives to make room for new ones : )

I'm just a home cook enthusiast, so my knives see very little use, and frankly I don't want to keep some very good knives in boxes or rolls and have no use if someone can make good use of them.

This is the answer of Konosuke to Yoshikane. They have very similar geometries and steels, of course since Takahiro Nihei trained at Yoshikane. So if you have tried a Yoshi, this one feels quite similar, not exactly the same. The F&F is very nice, a very "clean" SS kurouchi clad over a Shirogami #2 core. This one also arrived very sharp, and has only been sharpened once after. The half octagonal handle on this one is so nice to hold, even though it's supposed to be rustic, it's still refined, I guess that's the Konosuke touch.

[Selling] [EU] Sakai Kikumori Kikuzuki Rin 240 Gyuto Shirogami #2

Hi all, I decided to start selling some knives to make room for new ones : )

I'm just a home cook enthusiast, so my knives see very little use, and frankly I don't want to keep some very good knives in boxes or rolls and have no use if someone can make good use of them.

This one is a perfect midweight knife, very easy on the hand with Sakai 240 Gyuto proportions, very nice fit and finish as you can see on the pictures. The core is Shirogami #2 steel and get's incredibly sharp. I think it's a great nice daily knife, it's super balanced, won't disappoint anyone. As you can see on the pictures it has had very light use, there was a little patina on the core steel, but cleaned it out pretty well with a little 0.5 micron diamond paste. It's a very nice way to try your first Yoshikazu Tanaka forged blade.

Condition: Lightly used.
Brand: Sakai Kikumori
Series: Kikuzuki Rin
Blacksmith/Sharpener: Yoshikazu Tanaka / undisclosed sharpener
Type: Gyuto 240
Core Steel: Shirogami #2
Cladding: Soft Iron Kasumi Clad with "Rin" finish (something close to Nashiji in feeling).
Handle: Mono Oak octagonal Wa handle
Edge length: 223 mm
Height at choil: 49 mm
Thickness at handle: 2.8 mm
Thickness midway: 2.8 mm
Thickness 1cm from tip: 0.8 mm
Total length: 376 mm
Weight: 201 g

Sharpened how many times: 1

Price: EUR 350

[Selling] [EU] Yoshikane Gyuto 240 Shirogami #2 SS Nashiji Clad

Hi all, I decided to start selling some knives to make room for new ones : )

I'm just a home cook enthusiast, so my knives see very little use, and frankly I don't want to keep some very good knives in boxes or rolls and have no use if someone can make good use of them.

This one is one of the best cutters I have, dream construction with carbon core and stainless clad from one of the best forgeries in Sanjo. It came incredibly sharp out of the box, and has only been sharpened once. It has some patina on the edge, but otherwise in very good condition as you can see on the pictures. I have mixed feelings about letting this one go, It's perfect on paper, somehow didn't use it as much. Price is not negotiable on this one.

How is that Tanaka tuesday going boys and girls?
I finally put myself together today, I grabbed the hammer and smashed 2 ho wood handles away, it was therapeutic : )
I had a couple handsome handles from JKS I needed to mount, and it’s finally been done. Big thanks to Balazs for showing me how back in November in Brisbane!
The knives got some SPA time too and a little bit on the strop. Time to sleep now!
Rule 5:
Both Tanaka Specials from Zahocho, the Ittosai Kotetsu tall gyuto Blue 1 240 mm, and the big boy 240 mm white 1
