I'm selling this great knife because I find myself reaching for different sized knives. Ashi swedish stainless says enough I think. Thin yet resilient, very nice convex grind. Versatile profile that can be used for both delicate work and cutting protein. Great for cutting (silver)skin as well. Has a small (patina?) spot near the tip, but still looks really good other than that.

Bought it from another redditor very recently for 225, originally from Tetogi. That's what I'm asking for it as well.

I am selling because the heel height is a little too small for me and I keep hitting the cutting board with the tip of my index finger. The edge dimensions are 229x49. It has never been sharpened and comes with the original box.

Selling my Nakagawa X Morihiro Hamono Ginsan Santoku 180mm w/Custom Curly Tasmanian Blackwood and Marble horn handle from Sugi Cutlery. I’ve used the knife 4-5 times The blade is in like new condition. Never sharpened, stropped only on bare leather strop. I purchased the blade and handle at the same time from Sugi Cutlery and Joe installed the handle for me. The handle was discounted due to a little imperfection on the horn which you can see on picture 4. It’s also slightly less polished in that area which you can see in the image as well. I’m sure that it can be corrected by buffing or polishing. Having said that, this is still one of the highest quality handles I’ve ever seen, it’s very beautiful. Those of you familiar with handles from Sugi know what I mean. I paid $395 for the blade and the handle all in with tax and shipping. I’m looking to get $295 shipped. PayPal preferred

Have only used for 3 meals.

In one of the pictures theres some light hairline scratches that can be seen but it came with it bnib. Otherwise condition is as close to bnib - edge never touched or stropped.

Hello everyone!

I am selling two kagekiyo urushi handles and an Ebony horn handle. The urushi handles are 140mm and 137mm respectively and sat on Sakai 240/210 when I received them. The ebony 145mm.

They are all "unused" as I have swapped them out before using the knives they came with. One of the urushi handles has a small dent from laying in a drawer.

If you've been hanging around TCK, I don't think I need to introduce Makoto Tadokoro, who was a student of the legend Morihiro-san himself.

Forged (presumably) by Nakagawa-san, it is one of the most beautiful knife I have owned (I mean, look at the brushed finish and the crisp shinogi line).

Asking 370€+ shipping (would prefer to keep it in EU but open to WW shipping if necessary).

Knife came without much of an edge though, so I had it professionally sharpened (was a quick job on a Naniwa chocera pro 1000).

Used the knife a 5 times or so to prep dinner (home cook), so knife is practically new.

Since getting into Japanese knives, my 'regular' knives have sat on the rack collecting dust. I figure they deserve to go to a good home, perfect for a first home or anyone wanting perfectly usable blades at a cheap price! They have some marks from a magnetic knife rack but have all been kept very sharp.

25cm Procook Elite AUS8 Bread knife. Recently just resharpened by sheffield sharpening shed and handle oiled. This model has been replaced by the Elite AUS10, but this is just as good.

25cm Victorianox Fibrox Chef Knife. Almost mint, bought at the start of the year and used to carve two sunday roasts.

20cm Victorianox Fibrox Chef Knife, my main knife for years. Learned to sharpen on it, it's got plenty of use but has been recently brought up to 3k and is as razor sharp as the steel will allow.

Yoshimi Kato AS 240mm KU Cherry Handle- Used Once. Classic Sanjo Geometry. Definitely a “Squash” knife in that it has the robustness and heft to handle dense produce without issue. Has a special place in my heart as during that single use it was the first knife to “bite” me 😂.

Konosuke Madei Sumiiro Madei 210mm- BNIB. Too short in the height for my bear paws. Did a paper test, is an atom splitter. It’s a SLD Nihei (similar to a Yoshikane) masquerading as a Konosuke. Comes with the quality you’d expect.

CKTG Budget Tanaka x Kyuzo (Yauchi) B1 165mm Santoku Rosewood- BNIB. It’s the Hitohira TxK under Kyuzo’s real name Yauchi Tsuyoshi/Takeshi. Has a slight imperfection at the heel (a burr). It’s the same line as my gateway knife which was a B1 210mm Gyuto in the same line. Still one of my favorites to this day. I bought a bunch of knives from this line after falling for the Gyuto. I have since downsized quite a bit since I wasn’t using them.

Hatsukokoro Nakagawa 180mm (165mm edge length) santoku- $240 shipped

I love this knife for smaller tasks but gravitate towards larger knives. I picked it up as a way to try Nakawaga’s work at a reasonable price and it’s the best cutter I’ve ever experienced, whisper thin chives. This line is mild steel clad and feels less reactive than iron but still patinas. I didn’t like the stabilized maple handle at first but it grew on me, there’s a spot on the back with a ring of dye.

The knife has a scratch but is in otherwise good condition. I gave it a few passes on a Shapton 1000 once. Comes with the box.

Yoshihiro Goh AS 150mm petty- $160 shipped

The fit, finish, and slight convex grind are surprisingly good at this price point. The AS steel built up a very stable patina after a month, even after citrus supremes. It’s been sharpened once on a Shapton 1000. Box and saya are included.
