[WTS][CONUS+LIM. INTERNATIONAL] Oak and Lily 262x57 AU/Soft Iron Gyuto

Hey TCK - Listing this one up from my last post.

$660

I’d consider this knife to be in the workhorse grind category, though it’s a bit of a bridge between midweight and workhorse due to the combination of the spine taper and shinogi taper as well.

[WTS][CONUS] Some Natural Stones

Have a few stones that I'm no longer reaching for as I've continued to expand my stone collection.

  1. Ohira Awasedo - $300

  2. Approx. 198x70x23

  3. 758g

  4. First series of photos

Leaves a nice contrast and has a good feel in use. Originally bought from Aframestokyo. Medium-hard stone. This is honestly a pretty great stone that can pull a really nice finish. Was my first JNAT that I purchased.

  1. Shohonzan So-renge suita - $280
    196x57x17
    481g

fairly soft stone - good 1k scratch eraser however def. not scratchless finish. Would serve as a nice transitional stone to finer jnats. Cladding here is mild steel, so not a ton of contrast to pull out regardless of the stone. This did have one toxic / scratchy pocket that I've removed, and it now has no impact to the polish on the knife.

  1. Hatanaka Nakayama Tamagoiro Kiita LV 4.5 $280
    160 x 63 x 25
Per original description - Authentic koppa from Hatanaka. Amazing tamagoiro coloration.

Very hard stone - bought this one to see how I liked harder stones at that level. Turns out I just don’t love super hard stones, so this one is a little too hard for my liking and I've struggled to use it in the past with my knives and geometries. I think it's well suited to fairly flat bevels (not convex or minimal convexity), razors, etc. That said, it can pull out really fine details in the steel with the right progression. Scratches in the polish picture are user error, not representative of the stone.

SGA Question

Has anybody here equipped an ameriblade SGA on a housemade 2x72? I’m looking a getting an SGA and like what the ameriblade offers over the housemade one but I’m hoping to verify compatibility before dishing out the money

Collab knife with another maker

Springridge Goods forged out a billet of ~90 layer apex ultra / procut. I then clad it in wrought iron, forged into the knife, ground, finished etc.
