Hello! After a hot and heavy year of Japanese knife “investment” in understanding my tastes, needs, and budget allocation, I’m open to finding new homes for some early partners in my knife journey. I don’t need to sell any but figure I’d post everything I’m open to selling and see what comes of it. All funds generated will go to some JNat exploration.

All prices are net to me; preference will be given to bundles. All knives are sold in original boxes/knife packaging.

Yoshikane SKD Extra Tall Gyuto 240mm - $500 OBO
This profile is unfortunately just too flat for my preferred techniques. Seems like a great example though: very thin behind the edge, a joy to sharpen, and all other trappings of Yoshi. Purchased from Chef’s Edge and touched up once on a creamy Cerax 1k. Love this knife just a bummer the profile isn’t suited to me.
NOTE: The heel is ever so slightly chipped as shown in close-up. I don’t notice it on the board and it should sharpen out easily. Courtesy of wifey.

Yoshikane~~ ~~W2 165mm Nakiri - $175 OBO SOLD
Ebony handle. Great knife but the profile just doesn’t get enough use in our house. This is the knife I taught myself how to sharpen on so there are some scratches from where the angle slipped my first time on 400 stone. I don’t think it’s too much a hack job, but one does encroach into the Kasumi. I’ve since become a proficient sharpener and it’s razor sharp now; an absolute joy to sharpen. I tried to catch the scratches clearly in the light but can provide additional pictures if requested/needed. Purchased from ones and stones.

My loss is your gain here. I got a petty and a 240 in the most recent JKI drop and quickly realized I didn’t need the petty. Jon had already sharpened it at my request so here we are. Holy moly these things are pretty. Comes with original lacquered saya.

Hatsukoro Nakagawa B1D 150 Petty - $250 OBO
Purchased from Cutlery & More last year. Ebony handle. Sharpened once on a creamy Cerax 100. It’s been a trusted in-hand cutter for many pints of blueberries for babies. Have an Edro magnetic saya to throw in if buyer likes.
