DIY brake pads and rotors on 2016 Scion IM?
My steering wheel just started vibrating yesterday when I brake, assume I need rotors resurfaced or replaced. Normally I’d take it to the mechanic, but to say money is tight this month would be a gross understatement. I’m hearing I can DIY it - is that accurate for someone who’s not a mechanic? Where is the best place to buy the parts at a good price?
I have access to some tools from my dad (but he’s 90 and won’t be able to help) and I have no idea which tools I’d need. The extent of work I’ve diy’ed on my car is cabin and engine filters, and various lightbulbs, but I do enjoy fixing things generally.
Scion IM, 330k.
Thank you for any advice/guidance.
