Tire decision

I am considering buying a ‘25M x3 M50. It has Continental tires with one new rear tire. If I replace the other rear tire the remaining two front tires have 21,000 miles. If 10,000 miles later I have to replace the front tires then I am kind of locked in to continentals. Are Continental’s good tires? Alternatively if there’s a much better tire should I just replace all now of course at a much higher price? I am OK with summer tires since they will neversee snow.

2025 M50 price check

I have never owned a BMW and I am in the market to replace a Rx 450H. I will only average 3-4k mi/yr  so it makes sense to buy used. I drove a 2024 X3 M40i (16k mi) and loved the power and handling. I found a 2025 x3 M50 at another BMW dealer at a lower, better optioned price than the 2024. The M50 has 21k miles. Original MSRP was $71k not including dealer fees. I can buy for $55K. Is this a good price?

oil change by Independent shop

I scheduled a 6 mo oil change with my independent shop that only works on Japenese cars (35 yrs in business). I had only puit 1,200 miles since the last oil change by the dealer, $160. I was trying to guess what this shop was going to charge. As it turned out, 0. The owner said the oil looked new and no reason to change. He suggested waiting 6 mos. What do you think the dealer would have done?
