me (19f) im getting kinda insecure and nervous about something my bf(19m) said last night, i know is something about comunication, but i cant help to feel insecure even if he does and says everything right, what can i do?
We been dating for almost 6 months, we went out last night, few days ago he said he wanted to tell me something when we went out to dinner. Since then i got kinda nervous, since he said it was somethign "weird", he didnt wanna say if in the weird or good way, to make it short, he said he "misses" his ex, he has been think that for like a week or less, that he dosent want to get back with her or anything, he doesnt love her anymore, but kinda misses her, like her company(thats the only thing he specifically said), and reasured me that he loves me, he still wants to be in a relationship with me and build something with me, but i couldnt help to overthink while trying to sleep; we agreed that he would text her, to kinda get in touch if she reponds and kinda just talk about the things they didnt solve when they sould have done it.
I know him, i know he wont cheat or something like that, but im kinda insecure, that overthink didnt do well, i think that feelings of him are kinda weird, but i understand is something he didnt heal and just keept there, and that love some and dont getting over something or someone, are feelings that can coexist, but i cant help to feel weird and insecure about this.
To some context, almost like a year ago, my bf and her ex broke up they were already dealing with problems from months ago, but the trigger was that she was basically asking for permission to cheat, she told him that she was "getting to know someone" and was asking him if that was okay, if he was okay with that guy and her getting to know each other, my bf wasnt okay with that and told her that it was better to end things, even tho she got angry and she was the one that broke things up; bc of this story, is why i kinda dont understand the "miss her, her company" thing, like bc of his friends i got to know that she actually chetead on him, and tried to ask and kinda lure him to acept it, she is a b1tch honestly, that why i dont understand that, why would you miss a cheater?, and also the problems they already had before that.
