My son (2 years old - 28 months specifically) has some symptoms that are concerning me. These symptoms come in waves and typically all occur together.
- intermittent frequent fevers (that range from 101-104+)
- petechiae (back of neck, legs, thighs, abdomen)
- bouts of fatigue/lethargy.
- decreased appetite
- increased naps/rests
He's gone through about 4 "episodes/waves", typically once every week to every other week.
He has an older sibling (4yo) and younger sibling (10mo) that are not displaying these symptoms with him - which is leading me to believe it's not viral/bacterial.
We have a family history of leukemia (my paternal grandma).
It's after hours for peds office and urgent care. I want to take him into the ER to have his blood tested RIGHT NOW. And I'm having MAJOR anxiety regarding this.
What to do? Or any advice??
