My sites hiring system has to be broken
I work for Amazon local OTS IT, and when I say the amount of people getting hired to do some of the jobs here is insane to me. At my site atleast 65% of the PA’s that get hired get fired in less than 6 months, are turn over rate is so high we have to have more L1 fulfillment AA’s as PA’s than ACTUAL FUCKING TRAINED PA’s. The amount of people getting hired that can’t fundamentally understand how to correctly type there password because they don’t understand how the shift button works and only use the caps lock. ORRRR When I say “hey I sent a temp pin to your personal email,” and they say “ohh yeah I don’t know my email password and need to reach out to my second cousin Alberta from Wisconsin to get the password off the sticky note saved in HER camera roll” LIKE FUCKING IM SORYY BUT HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PROFESSIONALLY RESPOND TO THAT IM FUCKING 19 DUDE. Also announcement for your lazy ass fucking manager: MAASK BADGES ARE 100% FIXABLE BY YOUR MANAGERS AND IF THEY CANT FIX IT WITH WHAT THEY HAVE WELL, TUFF SHIT BECAUSE OTS IT HAS THE EXACT SAME ACCESS TOOLS FOR IT, SO I CANT HELP YOU IN THE SLIGHTEST FUCKING BIT. IT should be final escalation for this issue, yet to my avail the amount of managers I show how to reset maask badges they still send them to me. I get atleast 15-20 AA’s a day that need a reset and some managers just straight up refuse to do what an offical amazon policy tells them to do. ALSO ALSO the whole fucking reason soooo many people are needing the loaners to be reset when they get them is BECUASE FUCKING LP(loss prevention) WONT ORDER THE PROPER FUCKING BADGES FOR SECURITY NEEDED FOR LOANER USE. They are the same chip EV3-7 or sum. The loaners badges chip are bigger than the regular badges and unlike the regular badges actual wipe the user data off when security resets them. I PASSIONATELY hate every PA and L4 and above at my site because they are all lazy sacks of shit that just pass work on continuously so much, they don’t even give a shit if I gets done just that it’s not on them when it hits deadline. MY WHOLE FUCKING SITE IS LITERALLY PLAYING HOT POTATOE WITH THEIR OWN AA’S. Because they actively don’t wanna follow or even just read the Amazon policies in their trainings. Despite all this I love doing IT and it’s my first time in this kind of position, and I got promoted to tech 2 in less than a year. I feel comfortable enough now to tell people hey this isn’t my fucking problem bro go to your manager. But for the record I literally reached out to a manger about setting up the MAASK plugin for use to reset badges and she couldn’t fucking follow the literal step by step guide on how to install it. I get that I’m in IT some people have there own field and now more than others, but come fucking on I shouldn’t have to hold a 54 yo woman’s hand through downloading an app that has multiple videos showing how to download it I have more important tasks to do I in my daily’s. Computers have been around for some time now. Please for my sake get with the program.
