Making friends in your 30s wasn’t supposed to be this hard

35M

Back home I had multiple friends groups. I had people from school, college, work, family... friendships that had grown over years without me even thinking about it.

Ever since moving to Canada, I've realised making new friends as an adult is way harder than I expected…. Lately it's mostly been me going for walks with my headphones on or finding ways to kill time on weekends, and honestly, it's getting a bit boring…

I'm pretty introverted, but once I'm comfortable I can talk for hours… I'm a good listener, less judgemental and I genuinely enjoy hearing about people's lives, experiences, and perspectives….

Huge football (soccer) fan. I also love music (I honestly think one of the most magical things about being human is our ability to feel music)

I'm always up for hikes, beaches, long walks with no destination, coffee, or just simply hanging out.

I've unintentionally ended up making more friends from my country (India), which kind of defeats one of the reasons I wanted to move abroad in the first place….

I'd love to meet people from different countries, learn about different cultures, food, music, and just hear stories that are completely different from my own.

So if you're also looking to make a genuine friend, whether you're M or F, feel free to reach out. No pressure, no expectations, just hoping to meet some good people.
