This year, im going to college where im able to wear what i want. I'm planning to wear jeans and tops which are both 'too tight' for my parents liking. I'm going to take the bus (hopefully all the time) and im thinking of wearing an abaya on top and then taking it off on the bus. Any tips?
I'm 16 and ive been wearing the hijab since i was 8 and im a closeted ex-muslim, and ive really been wanting to take off my hijab. My parents are super strict and religious, so if i take off my hijab or even show a strand of my hair my dad would most likely beat me since hes really religious and regularly goes to the mosque and is the classic religious muslim with a long beard and listens to the quran daily. I'm thinking of taking it off once im at uni hopefully thats far away so i can stay in dorms and dont have to worry of my family catching me. But what also worries me as well is that i have a painfully obvious surname that shows im muslim, i dont wanna say it bcz of privacy but anyone with this surname is obviously muslim so im thinking of changing it in the future but its quite difficult so im worried. Plus i'm scared of marriage bcz i dont wanna marry a muslim guy but someone thats a closeted ex-muslim like me since i dont wanna fully cut ties with my family just distance myself but ik itll be quite difficult. Any tips?
