Turns out my 4 month old just hates being taken away from bath time. We were worried that baby was too cold after baths, so we did everything we could think of to keep her warm and put her in pjs quickly. Nothing helped. It didn't matter who held her, which towel, how many towels, temperature, lotion or no lotion.
On a whim we decided to start changing variables and husband joked about putting her back in.
Took out her out, upset. Walked away from bath, cried bloody murder. Walked back, and she was confused but stopped. Walked away again, cry. Put back in the water, pouty splashes at first then happy. The solution ended up bringing her favorite Dino night light to distract while we put her pjs on. I guess don't be afraid to try things, for science.
