Have I understood meditations correctly?
Hi everyone today I finished reading meditations. It was the first philosophy book I’ve read and this is all the lessons I have learned:
- You cannot control outside events so don’t mind them
- One can only control himself
3)Life has an end therefore don’t be the slave of pain, anger, fear, pleasure, sadness or other people’s thoughts
4)Life’s goal is to reach your potential and fulfill your duty in the best way possible
5)Things like death, pain, sickness, fate and sadness are a part of nature therefore take place in every people’s life without caring whether the person is good or bad so do not care, fear or complain from them.
6)Both good and bad things pass.
My questions is to you is what are the other lessons I didn’t got and now how should/can I implement these lessons to my life
