Mother’s Day
As a stay-at-home dad, I just wanted to stop by and say how deeply I appreciate everything you moms do every single day. I don’t think moms hear it enough, and they deserve to. Being a mom is one of the hardest, most demanding, and most selfless jobs in the world. It’s mentally exhausting, physically draining, and emotionally overwhelming at times. There are days when you feel like you’ve given every ounce of yourself and still wonder if it was enough, but it is.
The truth is, so much of what moms do goes unnoticed. The early mornings, the sleepless nights, the endless laundry, the cleaning, the cooking, the comforting, the worrying, the planning, the sacrificing. You carry not only the responsibilities of a household, but also the emotional weight of making sure everyone around you feels loved, safe, and cared for.
That kind of love takes incredible strength.
You are the ones showing up every single day, even when you’re tired beyond words. You’re taking the kids to school, practices, appointments, games, birthday parties, and play dates. You’re helping with homework, calming fears, wiping tears, celebrating victories, and somehow still trying to keep the house together in the middle of it all. And even on the days when you feel unseen or unappreciated, please know this, what you are doing matters more than you realize.
Your children may not fully understand everything you do for them right now. They may not see every sacrifice or recognize every hard moment. But one day, when they’re older and facing the responsibilities of life and parenthood themselves, they’ll look back and finally understand just how much of yourself you gave to make their lives better. They’ll realize that the reason they felt safe, supported, and loved was because of you.
So if no one has told you lately, thank you. Thank you for your patience, your sacrifices, your strength, and your unconditional love. Thank you for continuing to show up, even on the hard days. You are appreciated more than words can say, and you are deeply loved. Please hang in there and don’t forget to give yourself grace too. One day, the little children you’re raising will step into the world with confidence, kindness, and strength because you were there for them every step of the way. And that is something truly extraordinary.
Happy Mother’s Day!
