Hi everyone,

I have a couple questions regarding the concepts of jurisdiction and schism:

1. What Papal decrees specifically excommunicated the Reformers and laypeople from the Roman Catholic Church? Was it solely a result of the Council of Trent when it comes to laypeople or were there earlier documents?

2. Furthermore, can someone help me understand how Elizabeth I did not create a positive schism from Rome? (I'm a Lutheran and haven't dug too deeply into the English Reformation).
