Colpo Back - Feedback on LEEP
In March my PAP came back with CIN1 (LSIL) and positive for HPV-16 and also some BV. I took medication to clear BV and had a colpo done 4 weeks ago.
I just got the results - endocervical was benign, cervical 12 o’clock was still LSIL and cervical 6 o’clock was HSIL.
Doctor called yesterday and will be booking me in for a LEEP. Here’s where I’m getting anxious - he said I will need local anesthetic/freezing, which will be a needle. He said I may experience “intense cramping” for approximately 30 seconds. I asked if I was necessary (I’m petrified of needles) and he said local also contains another medication (I forget what it’s called) that basically clears all the goop so he can see the whole cervical area clearly.
For those who got a LEEP done with local anesthetic- how was it? For reference, I took a T3 before my colpo and I didn’t feel a thing during the procedure. Mild cramping for a few hours after, but not even close to period pain.
