I built a small free breathwork app called Breath. Browser based, installs to your phone, works offline, no account, no tracking, nothing to buy. Slow practices for calm, activating ones for energy, an accurate Tummo, and an optional synthesized voice you hum along with on the exhale, which is my own favorite way to use it. It is honest about which practices have real evidence and which are tradition.

Would genuinely value feedback from people who practice. Link below.

Built a free browser tool for Hemi-Sync-style sessions - binaural descent through the focus bands, no app needed

Longtime Hemi-Sync / Gateway listener here. I wanted a simple way to generate the
audio side of a session - a binaural descent through the brainwave bands - without
committing to a full tape each time, so I built one and just polished it enough to share.

Descent: https://hoatscs-droid.github.io/descent/

It’s free, runs in the browser, you can add to your home screen, works offline, no account, no tracking.
It has an “Explore” mode that glides you down through the bands over your session (a descent toward the deeper states), a “Sit” mode for quick daily focus/calm/sleep sessions, and a “Tinker” playground for building your own frequency combinations.

Honest note (and I’ve gotten good feedback from r/GatewayTapes refining this): Descent simulates the Hemi-Sync audio environment. The deeper presets target the brainwave bands associated with the progression. It’s an experiential framework inspired by the Monroe work, not the actual Focus states themselves or a clinical claim.

The app says as much in the UI. Best with headphones.

Curious what this community thinks. Any and all feedback is appreciated!

I built a free browser tool that walks you down through the Focus levels with binaural beats - would love this community's feedback

After several years practicing with the Gateway tapes I found myself wanting a simple, customizable way to generate the audio side of the experience without committing to a full 45-minute tape every time. So I built one.

It's called Descent. It's a free web app - no download or account required. It runs entirely in your browser (and you can add it to your home screen so it feels like a real app). Link: https://hoatscs-droid.github.io/descent

There are 12 basic presets included in **Sit** mode for daily focus, mindfulness and sleep. **Explore** mode includes presets mapped to the Focus state ladder (Focus 3, 10, 12, 15, 21), each targeting the brainwave band associated with that state. There's also a **Journey** toggle that glides you down through the ladder over your chosen session length. The texture deepens as you descend, the way a tape walks you down rather than dropping you straight in.

I want to be straight about what it is and isn't: it's the *audio environment*, not the guided verbal protocol. The Focus presets target the associated frequency bands. They’re an experiential framework inspired by the Monroe work, not a replacement for the actual tapes or a clinical claim. Best with headphones (binaural needs the stereo separation).

I made Descent for myself and daily use. Sharing here in case others here find it useful. Genuinely curious what this community thinks, especially whether the Journey descent feels right to people who know the states well.
