Am I wrong for cutting him off?
This man (29M) and I (28F) have been talking since April. We initially hung out because he was showing me around the city I ended up moving to. He has lived there for 10yrs. We’ve facetimed almost everyday before he goes into work, he runs a sales team for a health insurance company. He wouldn’t ever message me after work and because we were only getting to know each other I didn’t have expectations. My birthday was in May and he visited our hometown but he didn’t take me anywhere, I just slept over. He had only taken me to lunch as a friend once, but never an official date. A couple of weeks later he asked me for $300 because he lost his wallet and said he would pay me back, and never did. My dad passed away in June. He asked me for my address and didn’t send anything. I end up moving to Florida in July, express that I need help building furniture and he responds “power tools ma’am” + at this point he has cancelled plans 2x before last minute. Once I’m settled into Tampa, he texts me good morning but never initiates plans. I find his friend’s IG and his ex girlfriend (of 7 years) sitting at a dinner across from him at tasting that a friend of theirs hosted. I removed him and told him I no longer wanted to talk. He came to my house to plead his case about how she has to sign off on their lease this month for it to get transferred to him, and how their families are temporarily and newly in business. He tells me he loves me and can’t see a future without me. I tell him about a promotion that I got at work and he doesn’t congratulate me instead says “so you’re finally getting an adult job now” and changes the subject to my friend and what she does for work. I stuck it out until this, almost a month later and I hadn’t seen him. He took 3 hours to respond and never gave me a date and time to talk. It was his deceased father’s birthday when I sent that message. It’s been 9 days and he hasn’t replied to the message. He was active on Instagram and I removed and unfollowed him because he added me to his close friends and was posting about a Rolex he purchased.
