I took a chance at an illustrator from this community, and I couldn't be happier.
About two months ago I made a post of this sub, looking for an illustrator/designer to work with in refining my book cover. My previous work felt unrefined and didn't capture the book concepts as I'd intended. That's when I took a chance at Basu Saha who goes by u/basusaha_ , a passionate designer who was candid and supportive from the start.
He was keen, asked the right questions and I immediately knew I had found the right person to work with. His passion mirrored mine. He didn't intend to mimic most designs, but build from the confluence of our ideas.
So we got to work and in a month we designed the covers for the e-book, paperback and Hardcover versions of the book. It all paid of.
Even though my shitty camera can't do the book feel and colors any justice, it's all I could have hoped for.
To anyone looking for a Book Cover Designer/Illustrator to work with, you won't be disappointed by Basu Saha. I share this not because he asked me, or anything but as a way to share a talent I trust.
I trust he will comment down below. Thanks to this community for making such stories come to life
