I’ll be in Lake Garda May 27-30. There’s a national strike on May 29. Does anyone know if the strike will affect the ferries in Lake Garda too? From what I see it’s mostly rail/trains but not sure. Do you recommend renting a car to visit other towns around the lake? Will be based in Desenzano and was hoping to move around with the ferries..

Trying to figure out what company I should go with to rent a car for 4 days (driving to the countryside). Does anyone have any experience with the larger companies (Sixt, Avis, Budget, Alamo etc). Reviews on Google are terrible for all but Sixt so I was thinking of going with them but their price is 3x the other ones (at least on Expedia/Booking). I’ve had issues booking rentals through Expedia/Booking in the past because the companies dont acknowledge what is included according to Expedia/Booking (like 3rd party liability) so it always ends up costing way more than the initial price. It doesnt seem like that’s the case with Sixt as their website shows it is in fact included?

looking to book a car for my time in Tuscany. I need an automatic car so I was thinking of pre booking before my arrival to avoid having to scout various companies and waste time. Is it common for small local companies to ask for credit card details through a pdf form you send through whatsapp/email? not super comfortable with the idea but the company has very good reviews and their price is reasonable compared to others I checked.
I’m arriving in Rome on May 16 at 12:30pm. the information I find about the May 15-16 strike is somewhat confusing. What exactly will be impacted? what’s the best way of getting from the airport to the city centre during a strike like this one?
hi! i’m looking for a photographer for a couples photoshoot in Val d’Orcia the first week of June. Any recommendations?
